Job Title: BI Developer
Working hours : 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday. (8am - 4pm/9am - 5pm)
Contract: Full-Time, Perm.

Location: Hybrid - 2 days office-based (Tuesdays & Wednesdays), 3 days from home per week.
We operate a hybrid working policy which means you will be based out of our Milton Keynes Store Support Centre and you decide with your manager and team what works best for you and the role you do! If that means working from home, then work from home. If you prefer to work in an office, store, or distribution center, then you're welcome to work from there. All we ask is that if your manager or team needs you, you are available to come into Milton Keynes for meetings, check-ins, collaboration, and some fun. This may be more regularly during some of our busier, peak periods (up to 4 days per week on occasion, but you can expect to work from the office 2 days per week regularly)
Salary: £33,000 - £37,500 (Depending Upon Experience), plus bonus earning potential
The role
What will you be doing?

Day to day you will be delivering analytics and insight to a high standard with energy and pace, with a focus on capturing and integrating data from internal and external sources, to create reports, dashboards, and analytical models that provide input to review profitability, help us understand and optimise customer experience and identify efficiencies in the ways we work, seeking to continually improve both the speed and accuracy of decision making through analytics.
1. Developing and maintaining automated reporting systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
2. Discovering insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimisation opportunities by using advanced analysis techniques.
3. Delivering analysis and/or investigation on KPIs and identifying high-risk areas and opportunities.
4. Understanding and documenting how data is generated throughout the systems (when and how / during which processes and activities / data flows)
5. Working closely with IT project managers and operations to coordinate cross-functional project activities and ensures deliverables are accurate and meet customer requirements.
6. Working with the BI Manager to support the development and implementation of our BI Strategy.
7. Establish effective relationships with Homebase teams and develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the business.
8. Support the finance team and wider business to ensure a single version of the truth across all of Homebase.
What you need to be successful:
9. Planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and identify and apply appropriate solutions and timeframes.
10. Experience in a Retail/ FMCG environment ideally with Online/Digital exposure
11. Understanding of business drivers and what insight is and what it should be used for.
12. Strong skillset and experience of business intelligence, capabilities and best practices essential
13. Experience with MSBI stack – Azure, SQL, PowerBI
14. Experience of working with stakeholders and other developers within a BI reporting environment to understand and define user requirements for reporting and visualisations
