Project Supervisor (Mechanical) Location: Hybrid - Office (Derby) & On-site Contract: Fixed-term until end of May Salary: Competitive About the Role On behalf of my client, I am seeking an experienced Project Supervisor (Mechanical) to manage building and maintenance projects across a corporate estate. This is a hybrid role, combining office-based work with on-site visits, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities Act as the technical specialist for Mechanical Building Services Engineering, including heating, hot water, air conditioning, and water hygiene compliance. Oversee project delivery from design through to completion, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, British Standards, and CDM regulations. Oversee a programme of lift inspections and ensure that all in use lifts are thoroughly examined by a competent person at specified intervals. Prepare specifications, drawings, and tender documents; monitor contractor performance and resolve issues. Manage budgets, resources, and ensure value for money across all projects. Lead on compliance, quality audits, and asset management processes, including updating the Council's Asset Management Database. Provide strategic advice to the Corporate Landlord and contribute to policy development. About You Strong technical knowledge of mechanical engineering services within building projects. Proven experience in project management, compliance, and contract administration. Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and liaise effectively with stakeholders. Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation, particularly water hygiene and lift safety.
