Our new Operations Manager will take full responsibility for leading and developing production teams to deliver safe, efficient and high‑quality food manufacturing operations. Working within a fast‑paced FMCG environment, you will ensure production plans are delivered while driving strong performance across safety, quality, cost and service.
Responsibilities
* Lead, develop and motivate production teams to deliver strong performance across safety, quality, delivery and cost.
* Ensure production plans are delivered efficiently, maximising yield while minimising downtime and waste.
* Communicate clear departmental targets and ensure processes align with company policies and operational standards.
* Coach and support Team Leaders and junior managers to build capability and strengthen leadership across the department.
* Work closely with the Planning team to ensure labour levels and resources align with production requirements.
* Monitor and manage operational performance using KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department.
* Maintain strong GMP standards through regular auditing, feedback and corrective actions.
* Build effective working relationships with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth operational delivery.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production environments.
* Strong understanding of production planning, labour management and operational KPIs.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Experience managing and developing team leaders or supervisory teams.
* Understanding of food safety, GMP and quality standards within a production environment.
* Strong communication and relationship‑building skills across operational teams.
* Highly organised with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
* Motivated to drive improvements and raise operational standards.
