My client is a well established, Thames Valley based air conditioning and refrigeration contractor that specialise in installation, service, maintenance and repair on cooling equipment. They have been running for well over 30 years and can boast some very well known clients on their patch. Engineers stay with this company for a long time as there are some great opportunities for overtime and also internal progression. Due to expansion they are recruiting a Trainee Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer, you will be:- * Helping and shadowing an engineer to learn how to do service and maintenance on commercial air conditioning and refrigeration * Sometimes helping with driving the van (if you have a licence) * Doing a full apprenticeship with C&G / NVQ qualifications in air conditioning and refrigeration as well as learning on the job * Working on splits, multi splits VRV VRF DX small water chillers (up to about 200kw), walk in cold rooms fridges and freezers * Covering the Thames Valley area in the M4 / M40 corridor – Berkshire Buckinghamshire Middlesex Oxfordshire Skills Needed to be a trainee air conditioning and refrigeration engineer * Living in or around the Oxford area, an OX postcode would be ideal so you are close enough in to the office * Having a driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential * You would ideally need some sport of hands on experience within engineering or construction * This person needs to have a great personality, have common sense, the willingness to learn and grow * Any experience with air conditioning or refrigeration would obviously be an advantage no matter how small Salary and Benefits of a trainee air conditioning and refrigeration engineer * £12.21 living wage per hour, 40 hour week * Door to door travel pay – you also get paid the time it takes to get from home to work and work to home – this is on top of your basic salary amount * 20 days holidays 8 bank holidays * Workplace pension * Private healthcare, phone, full training given as well as courses and certificates * The change to become an engineer in a very sustainable sector – all companies are always looking for good air conditioning engineers For an immediate interview contact Adam Southam beaFRONTrunner
