Advising the General Secretary, elected officers, and affiliates on political, industrial, and regulatory developments
Managing senior staff and coordinating closely with ITF regional teams
Ensuring robust project governance, financial management, and donor compliance where applicable
About You
You will bring substantial senior leadership experience within trade unions, social movements, or closely aligned organisations, alongside a strong understanding of global land transport issues and labour rights. You will be politically astute, comfortable operating in complex international environments, and committed to building worker power through organising and collective action.
You Will Also Demonstrate
A strong track record of leading strategic campaigns and organisational change
Experience managing senior teams and complex, cross-regional programmes
Excellent communication skills, including high-level advocacy, influencing, and report writing
The ability to build and sustain relationships across diverse stakeholders and jurisdictions
A leadership style that balances empowerment, support, and accountability
Fluency in English, with willingness to travel internationally and work flexibly
Additional languages and international trade union or NGO experience are an advantage.
