Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
* Monitor project budgets and expenditure to ensure costs are controlled effectively.
* Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.
* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather necessary information for accurate cost assessments.
* Prepare tender documents and assist in the selection of contractors through competitive bidding processes.
* Evaluate and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms.
* Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
* Provide regular reports on financial performance and forecasts to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of cost control principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
