The Governance & Legal Services Team provide efficient, professional services to the University Court and Senate, as well as supporting students in conduct or complaints situations.

Reporting to the Director of Governance & Legal Services and the Head of Governance & Legal Services, the successful individuals will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be proactive in aiding the for the overall achievement of the University’s Strategy goals through supporting the work of the Court, Senate and the Governance & Legal Services department in ensuring the efficient operation of Court and Senate, as well as supporting students. You will thrive in a busy and demanding environment that requires the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritise your workload appropriately, working closely with the University Governors, the Executive Team and colleagues to ensure appropriate governance and compliance.

Demonstrable evidence of administrative and organisational skills, coupled with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is required ideally gained within a Higher Education environment as is the ability to work to deadlines under own initiative within an overall team. Experience of providing support to committees would be especially welcomed. You will have the ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues appropriately.
