Position: Trainee Solicitor – Family Care Team (Legal Aid)
Location: Bristol (Hanham) - with hybrid work available once probation is passed
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week), 8:30am - 5pm
Salary: £24,320 (Recommended by Law Society for Trainee Solicitors)
Start: Immediate

About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in Family Law, focusing on Care Proceedings, Public Law Outline (PLO), and Non-Accidental Injury (NAI) cases. You will work with experienced professionals on complex, sensitive Legal Aid cases.
You will:
* Represent clients in care proceedings involving Local Authority intervention
* Attend Legal Planning Meetings and PLO discussions
* Support fee earners on cases involving child protection, neglect, and NAI
* Draft documents, manage files, and liaise with counsel and experts
* Have opportunities for progression toward qualification

* Organized with good time management and attention to detail
* Professional, proactive, and calm under pressure
* Willingness to support, supervise, and mentor others
Preferred (but not essential):
* Interest in Family Law
* Experience or awareness of Care Proceedings
* A valid UK driving license
