As a Senior Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Mechanical Bias) you will be responsible for coordinating and planning the workload within the Facilities Mechanical team. You will oversee the delivery of Mechanical PPMs and respond to reactive breakdowns, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Your role also includes optimising the performance of site services assets and associated equipment by providing technical support when needed.
Responsibilities
* Plan, schedule, and allocate workload for the Mechanical team to ensure efficient delivery of PPMs and reactive maintenance.
* Work 60% hands‑on with the team and 40% office‑based for planning and coordination.
* Use CMMS/CAFM systems to manage and close out work requests, maintaining GMP & regulatory compliance.
* Generate monthly reports on planned and reactive task completion.
* Liaise with stakeholders across the site to clarify and deliver maintenance tasks effectively.
* Supervise contractors, ensuring adherence to RAMS and site safety procedures.
* Participate in the site on‑call rota and support equipment shutdowns.
* Maintain planned and reactive maintenance to achieve safety, quality & GMP standards.
* Identify and implement improvements to plant reliability, compliance and performance.
* Support installation, commissioning and qualification of new equipment.
Qualifications
* Recognised Apprenticeship or equivalent HNC in a mechanical discipline.
* Steam plant maintenance & steam awareness.
* Computer literacy for site systems.
* 5 years experience post‑apprenticeship in an engineering environment/role.
* Experience working in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment desirable not essential.
* Previous experience in supervisory role/lead engineer.
* Capable of operating in a multi‑skilled environment with high degree of troubleshooting skills and making decisions with minimum supervision.

Working Pattern
Shift Pattern – Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am to 3:45pm. 25 days holiday + bank holidays + Buy/Sell Scheme.
