The Governors of Rudyard Kipling Primary School and Nursery wish to appoint a charismatic, highly motivated and nurturing Learning Support Assistant on a fixed term basis. This post will be to support children within our school who require individualised, creative and purposeful provision. This post is attached to Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) funding and is fixed term for 1 year in the first instance.
We are looking for a special person:

* To work within a team in partnership with the SENCo, class teachers and other colleagues to support the children in reaching their best outcomes
* To dynamically risk assess and manage children's safety
* To believe in outdoor education and embrace our wonderful grounds and resources
* To follow our Empowerment Approach and School Values to enhance the children's learning
* To have an understanding of strategies which support SEND learners, such as Just Right, Makaton, Visuals, structure and routine
* To have experience of supporting children with challenging needs and behaviour
* To establish positive relationships with parents and families
