Quality and Certification Officer: Sheffield, £22,000 - £26,000 per annum
W Talent is delighted to be working with a well-established heavy industry manufacturer based in Sheffield, who are seeking a detail-focused Quality and Certification Officer to join their Quality Assurance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to play a key role in ensuring product certification and documentation meets strict customer and industry requirements. Operating within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will act as a central link between internal departments and customers to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely release of documentation.
The Role
Reporting to the Certification Lead, the Quality and Certification Officer will be responsible for reviewing internal documentation and producing final release certification packs in line with customer purchase order requirements.
This is a days-based position within a busy heavy industry setting, requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. The successful candidate will work closely with production, quality, logistics and customers to ensure documentation accuracy and compliance at all stages of the despatch process.
Key Responsibilities
Review internal documentation to ensure compliance with customer purchase order requirements.
Produce final release documentation including:
Certificates of Conformity
FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) packages
Additional despatch documentation as required
Liaise with internal departments to promote product and documentation excellence.
Communicate with customers regarding certification packs, amendments and documentation queries.
Support internal audits in line with the audit schedule.
Assist during external customer audits and site visits as required.
Maintain and update vendor approval records.
Ensure documentation systems are accurately maintained and updated.
Work closely with logistics, warehousing and plant management to support operational goals.About You
Understanding of quality procedures within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Windows-based data systems.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and liaison skills.
Flexible and proactive approach to work.
Experience within heavy industry, engineering or manufacturing environments.Salary & Benefits
