Salary: Grade 7 from £40,757 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £47,921 per annum inclusive of London Weighting
Hours: Full‑time

Position Overview
The Mental Adviser will be expected to manage a large caseload of students with mental health difficulties and provide specialist advice, guidance, and information to students, applicants, and staff. The successful applicant should have extensive experience working with adults/students with a range of mental health conditions and, ideally, substantial knowledge of the support requirements for disabled students in a higher education context.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a large caseload of students with mental health difficulties.
* Provide specialist advice, guidance, and information to students, applicants, and staff.
* Support disabled students and other student groups with specific mental health needs.
* Collaborate with student support services, academic departments, and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or equivalent experience and an appropriate professional qualification/training relating to mental health.
* Proven experience with adult/student populations in a higher education setting.
* Strong knowledge of mental health support frameworks and disability support.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
