Are you an experienced and dynamic Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking for your next position?
We are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team within our South East Pave project of works. Within this role you will be responsible for the commercial management of individual construction projects, ranging in complexity and value.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Area Quantity Surveyor, duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will include:
* Preparingand agreeing interim valuations and final accounts with clients and subcontractors
* Recording, monitoring, and reviewing the financial performance of contracts
* Managingfinancial accounts
* Reporting project performance internally (senior managers) and externally (clients)
* Securingpayments from clients within the specified contract terms
* Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts
* Pre-contract pricing and agreement of project costs
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor will currently be working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying. We also welcome applications from candidates who are currently undertaking further or higher education courses and would like a full time role that will also support you whilst you continue your studies on a day release basis.
Suitable candidates for the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also possess:
* Demonstrable interpersonal and problem-solving skills
* Confident numeracy and analytical ability
* Drive and ambition to succeed
* Confidence to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Strong organisational ability
* Strong ability to build successful relationships
* Confident IT skills specifically Excel, databases and the ability to adapt to bespoke software packages
This is a regional role and a company vehicle is provided so suitable candidates must possess FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points. The ideal candidate will ideally be based within the East Anglia area but this is not essential.
The role is flexible and can be based at our Colchester office in Essex or at our Snodland Office in Kent.
