Donaghys Direct, the corporate clothing and branding division of Donaghys Banbridge, has an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic Sales Manager to join the team. Donaghys, established more than 65 years ago, is a premium clothing, footwear, sports and accessories department store, with an e-commerce business and own brand product range. Donaghys Direct has been providing high quality branding clothing, workwear, corporate gifting, branded goods and conference packs to schools, sports clubs, universities and marketing agencies to deliver their brand objectives.
The business is seeking to grow as it invests in new purpose-built premises, for this element of the business. We brand all items in house using a mix of embroidery, printing and heat transfer equipment, which gives us control over lead times and quality. This long established family-owned business with more than 60 employees is looking for an experienced, motivated Sales Manager to oversee the existing sales pipeline and to manage and develop further business opportunities, covering the Dublin – Belfast economic corridor and surrounding areas, with the added potential to develop Ireland and UK wide business.

Reports to: Donaghys Direct Director.
Position Type: Full-Time
Required: Full, clean driving licence, access to transport and ability to work across the island of Ireland.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Sales Manager to join our team at Donaghys Direct. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping businesses grow by offering creative branding solutions through custom clothing, workwear, and promotional goods.
As a Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in building relationships with new and existing clients, identifying their needs, and providing tailored product recommendations that align with their brand objectives.
Target area is ROI, NI and UK.
Key Responsibilities:
● Sales Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by generating leads, following up with potential clients, and engaging in direct sales activities.
● Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their business needs and offering customised branded clothing, workwear, and promotional product solutions. This includes regular face to face engagement.
● Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with product offerings, trends in branding, and customisation techniques to offer clients the most relevant solutions.
● Consultative Sales Approach: Conduct in-depth consultations with clients to understand their branding and promotional needs, provide expert advice, and offer tailored solutions that help achieve their goals.
● Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales quotas and contribute to the overall sales growth of the company.
● Customer Support: Provide exceptional after-sales service, addressing any issues or concerns, ensuring client satisfaction, and fostering long-term relationships.
● Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and orders in the CRM system.
Qualifications:
● At least 3 years experience in sales, preferably within the promotional goods, apparel, or workwear industry.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
● Results-oriented with a strong focus on achieving sales targets.
● Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
● Knowledge of customisation processes, such as embroidery, screen printing, or heat transfer is a plus.
● Proficiency in using CRM software.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Experience in branding, marketing, or B2B sales preferred.
● A passion for design and branding with an understanding of how customised clothing and promotional products can elevate a business's image.
