Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate Band 5 Nurses to join our friendly and welcoming Ward team on the Sapphire Ward at Gravesham Community Hospital, North Kent.
As a Ward Nurse, you will work collaboratively alongside our multi‑disciplinary teams caring for 21 beds of stroke and neurological patients, providing holistic assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care.

You will use your strong communication and organisational skills, with a flexible approach, to ensure positive patient experiences throughout their care journey and to actively improve how we work.
Employment Details
Full‑time position (37.5 hours per week). The ward operates 24/7; a willingness to cover all shift patterns including nights and weekends is required.
Job Responsibilities
* Maintain a high standard of patient‑focused care.
* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
* Provide assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, ensuring accurate written records are kept.
* Communicate with patients and carers to ensure they have access to appropriate information.
* Promote and maintain positive relationships between all staff involved in the care of the patient.
* Act in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Ideal Candidate
You are a registered Nurse with a license to practice, passionate about the rehabilitation of stroke/neurological patients and encouraging independent living. You should be confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), and be willing to work all shift patterns.
