Established for over 50 years, we are a traditional, fully equipped, 7 surgery, community based practice with a reputation for delivering a quality service to private and Health Service patients. We offer a wide range of treatments with a particular focus on general dentistry.
We have an experienced support team onsite including fully qualified dental nurses and a highly experienced practice Manager who ensure our Dentists can focus on dentistry and delivering the best clinical outcomes.
Our practice is located in a pleasant area, 10 mins from Belfast city centre with free parking outside. Easy access to Belfast City Centre, Stations and Airports.
This role may be subject to a relevant criminal records check, called an AccessNI check. You will be advised about this at interview stage, and you must disclose if there is any reason why you cannot work in regulated activity.
Essential Qualifications
GDC registration as a fully qualified dentist with an unrestricted licence to practise in the United Kingdom
BDS degree or equivalent internationally recognised dental qualification
Hold a current BSO number to conduct NHS treatment / Current professional indemnity insurance
Demonstrable experience in general dental practice, with competence across a broad range of clinical procedures
Strong clinical decision‑making skills and the ability to work with autonomy and professional judgement
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to patient‑centred care
Organised approach to time management and clinical workload, with the ability to prioritise effectively
Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and health and safety compliance
Flexibility and adaptability to working in a mixed NHS and private practice environment
Desirable Qualifications
Experience working in mixed NHS/private practices or a track record of transitioning from NHS‑focused to mixed dentistry
Familiarity with modern dental technology, digital imaging, and practice management systems
Interest in developing private dentistry and building a private patient base
Engagement with continuing professional development and a proactive approach to clinical learning
Experience mentoring junior colleagues or contributing to team development
Knowledge of contemporary cosmetic and restorative dentistry techniques
