Role Overview:
The purpose of this role is to support the Senior Product Developer & Product Developer in developing JD's Own Brand products. The candidate will handle specific responsibilities under supervision, possessing relevant qualifications and some experience, with a passion for our products.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Issue packs/comments and communicate with suppliers throughout the process.
2. Set up basic size charts, maintain, and update the block library.
3. Create basic BOMs.
4. Complete test report approvals and ITS online processes, follow up with suppliers, and manage approvals.
5. Understand and assist in creating test matrices.
6. Create Care Label Templates.
7. Monitor critical paths.
8. Analyze sales data.
9. Manage specific ranges under guidance.
10. Handle incoming/outgoing samples efficiently, ensuring proper documentation.
11. Assist in creating tech packs and costings on the PLM system.
12. Approve lab-dips and strike-offs, referring issues to relevant teams.
13. Participate in fit sessions and record comments in the PLM system.
14. Measure samples and record comments.
15. Maintain the critical path on the PLM system, follow up with suppliers, and report issues.
16. Assist with costing, negotiations, and order raising on the PLM system.
Skills/Experience/Knowledge needed:
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
2. JD retail experience is highly desirable.
3. Basic knowledge of Illustrator is an advantage.
4. Strong organizational and communication skills.
5. Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications/experience in Clothing Technology and Product Development.
