Our UK division supports complex engineering programmes, including electrical systems, R&T, industrialisation, manufacturing engineering, and systems integration. We are seeking a proactive and structured Project Manager to lead multi‑disciplinary engineering projects, ensuring delivery to quality, cost, and schedule while upholding Safran’s operational excellence and customer‑focused values. Project & Programme Delivery Lead end‑to‑end delivery of engineering work packages and customer programmes. Develop, maintain, and control project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers. Ensure all deliverables meet customer requirements, engineering standards, and regulatory obligations. Drive project governance through structured reviews, reporting, KPIs, and milestone tracking. Coordinate with technical leads to ensure engineering teams have clear priorities and resources. Stakeholder & Customer Management Act as primary customer interface for assigned programmes. Prepare and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and executive briefings. Manage expectations and negotiate scope, schedule, and change requests professionally. Financial & Commercial Management Own project P&L, cost control, forecasting, and margin protection. Support bid responses, proposals, estimates, and contract amendments. Ensure compliance with Safran finance processes and programme governance frameworks. Risk, Compliance & Quality Identify, analyse, and mitigate project risks and opportunities. Champion continuous improvement, lessons learned, and standardised PM processes. Ensure alignment with Safran procedures, and customer quality expectations. Leadership & Collaboration Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams in a matrix organisation. Facilitate effective communication between Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations. Support resource planning and competency management with functional managers. Requirements Proven experience managing engineering or aerospace technical projects. Strong command of project management methodologies (e.g., WBS, EVM, risk management). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Fluency with project management tools. Financial acumen including project forecasting, revenue recognition, and cost control. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, technical, customer‑facing environment. Background in aerospace engineering, electrical systems, manufacturing engineering, or systems integration. Experience within Safran, Airbus, Rolls‑Royce, or other major aerospace prime/Tier‑1 suppliers. Professional certifications such as APM, Prince2, PMP, or equivalent (not essential) Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline. Full-time onsite role at Safran customer site and some travel may be required.
