Based at our plant in Livingston, our Graduate Apprenticeship programme delivers this exciting new way for you to gain a BEng (Hons) Engineering Design and Manufacture (Mechanical) from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh - with valuable industry experience that will set you apart from your peers.\nYou study broadly the same subjects as those completing a traditional full-time undergraduate degree, and achieve the equivalent level of qualification over a four-year period. The key difference is you will undertake your learning as a mix of classroom and workplace-based training and assessment â whilst engaged in paid employment as a core member of our Shin Etsu team.\nWe provide you with a full-time employment contract whilst you complete your degree, with the opportunity for a permanent role following graduation. Initially, you will complete 1 day per week classroom learning at university, and 4 days per week workplace learning. The balance of office versus lecture time alters as you progress through your degree. SEH Europe supports the semiconductor market with 150mm & 200mm, Polished Wafer & Epitaxial Wafer manufacturing at its bespoke manufacturing facility located in Livingston, Scotland. A desire to learn and a self determination to find solutions to problems, alongside strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential for success in this role. The ability to make rational judgements based on relevant information and work effectively within a team are also key qualities.\n
