About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and knowledgeable Computer Science educator to inspire the next generation of programmers and tech enthusiasts. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Computer Science lessons across the curriculum, catering to both GCSE and A-Level students. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Delivery: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging Computer Science lessons that foster a love of technology and computational thinking in students. Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students develop a strong foundation in computer science principles. Develop students' problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills through practical programming exercises and projects. Prepare students for success in GCSE and A-Level Computer Science examinations (if applicable). Practical Learning: Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages hands-on learning and exploration of various programming languages and technologies. Guide students in developing their coding skills through individual and collaborative projects. Promote effective use of technology and relevant software within the classroom. Student Support and Assessment: Provide personalized feedback and guidance to support students in their learning journey. Utilize effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement. Contribute to the development of engaging and stimulating learning materials for the Computer Science curriculum. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified Computer Science Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience (part-time experience may be considered). A strong passion for computer science and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement. Excellent subject knowledge across key areas of computer science, including programming languages, algorithms, data structures, and cyber security (as applicable). Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that promote practical learning.
