Vitacress Herbs is looking for an organised, proactive Quality & Team Coordinator to support our Technical team and help maintain our “audit‑ready” standards every day.If you’re passionate about quality, food safety and leadership—and you thrive in a fast‑paced environment—this role is for you. ⭐ What you’ll be doing You’ll be at the heart of product quality, providing assurance that our herbs meet customer, legal, and safety standards. Key responsibilities include: Quality, Auditing & Compliance Conduct hygiene, GMP, glass and hard plastic audits Follow up non‑conformances with root cause analysis & corrective actions Complete traceability and internal audits to agreed schedules Support 3rd‑party, customer and internal audits Oversee calibration, sampling, and production documentation checks Maintain and support the Quality Management System (QMS) Ensure compliance with customer Codes of Practice and legal requirements Team Leadership & Training Daily supervision and management of the QA Team Deliver training, refreshers, toolbox talks and coaching Ensure accurate completion of Training Records Product Quality & Continuous Improvement Monitor production lines for safety, legality and customer standards Manage hold processes and investigate product issues Communicate quality performance with growing, nursery, procurement & supply chain teams Lead shelf-life checks and feedback quality issues to customers Support complaint investigations and ensure corrective actions Systems & Technical Responsibilities Champion average weight systems Manage GLQC system, intake assessments, supplier database & reporting Maintain label design, dataset labelling, NiceLabel, ICE Printers and barcode verifier Support ERP (IFS) and customer specifications compliance What you’ll get Up to £32,000 salary 4 on / 3 off rota for great work–life balance Permanent, stable employment Development opportunities within the Technical function Working within a supportive, specialist team in a growing business What you’ll bring At least 2 years’ QA experience in fresh produce or similar Strong understanding of GMP, HACCP, BRC, GFSI and retailer standards Experience managing teams Excellent communication & organisational skills Confident under pressure (especially during audits) Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office advantage if you know IFS or GLQC) Ability to problem‑solve and work to tight deadlines Required Qualifications Food Hygiene Level 3 HACCP Level 3 IFS & Greenlight QC knowledge (desirable) Ready to take the next step?
