Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Northern Ireland (Regular UK travel anticipated) Salary: Up to 60k, plus commission Reports to: Managing Director About the Role: Our client is seeking a driven, results-oriented Business Development Manager to join their team focused on the sale of precision engineering products. The ideal candidate thrives in a technical B2B sales environment, excels at navigating long and complex sales cycles, and possesses a true hunter mentality always seeking new business opportunities and aggressively pursuing growth in a competitive market. The role: Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across assigned territory with OEMs, and industrial clients across multiple sectors. Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and solution-based selling. Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and consistently progress opportunities through the sales funnel. Responding promptly and fully to RFQs Work closely with engineering and production to tailor solutions to specific customer requirements. Mentor and work closely with other sales rep/s. Provide accurate forecasting and report sales activity, market trends, and competitor intelligence. Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer visits. Ensure all sales activities align with company goals, pricing strategy, and margin expectations. The person: 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in technical environment. Proven track record in managing long sales cycles and closing complex deals for a manufacturer. Demonstrated ability to prospect, cold-call, and develop new business a true hunter. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel as regular travel to mainland UK is anticipated. Preferred: Experience selling to OEMs, or in capital equipment/engineering sectors Engineering or technical degree (Mechanical or Industrial preferred), or equivalent technical sales experience.
