The Opportunity
We are seeking an AI Talent Acquisition expert to play a pivotal role in helping us establish world-class AI capabilities at both GUS Group level and across our institutions.
We need someone who brings more than just recruitment skills, we’re looking for a network builder with warm global AI talent pools already in play. Whether you’re currently with an AI specialist recruitment agency or already in-house as an AI TA partner, you’ll have an active network of AI professionals worldwide that you can tap into immediately.
Your remit will span the full breadth of AI hiring:
* Executive leadership roles such as Chief AI Officer (CAIO) and Directors of AI.
* Specialist technical hires such as engineers, QA, and AI support.
* AI operations roles supporting business transformation across the group.
* Product and pedagogy-focused AI hires driving innovation in learning and teaching.
Recruiting across the entire AI lifecycle from the boardroom to hands-on development and have a direct impact on how GUS embeds AI into operations, products, and pedagogy.
You will be a trusted advisor to the C-suite and senior stakeholders, guiding talent strategy, shaping attraction methods, and using data and market intelligence to influence decisions. With a strong sense of urgency, you’ll demonstrate agility and resilience in partnering with senior stakeholders, adapting quickly to shifting priorities while maintaining high-quality delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end recruitment of AI roles across all levels and disciplines.
* Leverage existing global AI talent pools and networks to accelerate hiring outcomes.
* Partner with C-suite and business leaders to scope roles, challenge briefs, and shape competitive hiring strategies.
* Deliver direct sourcing campaigns to engage world-class AI talent worldwide.
* Track and present recruitment metrics, ROI, and market insights to senior stakeholders, using data to challenge bottlenecks and refine requirements.
* Support the creation of a compelling AI EVP (Employee Value Proposition) and candidate-facing materials.
* Ensure an outstanding candidate experience that positions GUS as a destination employer for AI talent.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record recruiting in AI and technology markets, ideally from an AI-focused agency or an in-house TA role.
* Warm, active global AI talent pools and networks you can leverage immediately.
* Experience recruiting across a wide range of AI roles from executive hires to hands-on technical talent.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with credibility at C-suite level.
* A commercial, flexible, and agile approach to TA, able to pivot quickly as business needs change.
* Data-driven mindset: confident using metrics and insights to present progress, ROI, and to influence leadership decisions.
* Passion for employer branding and delivering a standout candidate experience.
* Expertise in talent mapping, sourcing & identifying niche skill-sets and talent, you can find a needle in a haystack!
