Applicants are invited to apply for the role of Simulation Fellow in Frimley Emergency Department. The role is 75% clinical and 25% non-clinical. We are looking for doctors to start in August 2025.
Main duties of the job
1. Attend a Level 1 emergency ultrasound course within the first 3 months (if not already qualified), including FAST, AAA, echo in life support, and vascular access.
2. Engage in self-directed time to become Level 1 accredited, supported by supervisors and ultrasound tutors.
3. Perform POCUS scans on ED patients post-accreditation to inform clinical decisions for non-accredited colleagues.
4. Lead on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) quality improvement projects.
5. Organise ultrasound teaching for ED staff, including ultrasound-guided access training and practical sessions.
6. Deliver Level 1 ultrasound training locally to ED staff once qualified.
7. Collaborate with other ED fellows to expand experience and support each other's projects.
