Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams. This role is part-time (22.2 hours per week) and a job share arrangement is available. Travel and overnight stays may be required as the Reservoir Regulation team is nationally dispersed.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Team and context
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team comprises 25+ staff who regulate over 2140 large raised reservoirs in England.

Additional information
Some travel and overnight stays will be required. The role may be based at any Environment Agency office in England.
