Role Overview
We're seeking an enthusiastic PR Assistant to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to learn the fundamentals of public relations while supporting our experienced account teams in delivering outstanding results for a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.
The successful candidate will possess bags of enthusiasm and the emotional intelligence that's become a hallmark of LLPR's work. You’ll have a genuine interest in communications across a broad variety of channels, including print, digital, social, and podcasts. You'll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to develop their skills alongside some of the industry's most experienced professionals.
After a qualifying period, you will be able to take advantage of hybrid working, based in our beachside offices in Poole for 50% of your time with core office days as Tuesday and Wednesday.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support:
* Assist in the preparation and distribution of press releases
* Monitor and compile media coverage reports
* Maintain up-to-date contact databases and media lists
* Support with event planning and coordination
Research & Content Support:
* Conduct research on clients, competitors, and industry trends
* Assist with content creation including social media posts, video, imagery, newsletters, and press materials
* Help maintain client social media accounts under supervision
* Support digital SEO and content marketing activities
Client Support:
* Provide administrative support for client accounts
* Assist with client communications and meeting preparation
* Attending client meetings
* Help coordinate stakeholder engagement activities
Media Relations:
* Assist with media monitoring and analysis
* Support press office functions including answering media enquiries
* Help maintain relationships with local and regional media contacts
* Assist with media events and press conferences
Professional Development:
* Participate in training programmes and professional development opportunities
* Work towards industry qualifications such as CIPR accreditation
* Attend networking events and industry functions
* Shadow senior team members
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
* A-Levels or equivalent qualification (minimum Grade C/4 in English Language)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an excellent grasp of clarity and storytelling
* Up-to-date understanding of social media platforms and content creation
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

* Good knowledge of current affairs
* Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high standards

Desirable Requirements
* Degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field
* Previous experience in customer service, administration, or similar role
* Basic knowledge of PR principles and media landscape
* Evidenced experience in the creation of video, stills, and/or podcasts
* Experience with content management systems or social media scheduling tools
