Responsibilities: We provide 3rd Line technical support across systems, servers, networking, and end-user technologies. We act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line IT Support staff, providing technical expertise and mentoring where required. We support and maintain Windows-based environments, Microsoft 365, and core infrastructure services. We investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex hardware and software issues affecting both PCs and Apple Mac devices. We administer and support Microsoft 365 services for staff and students. We support and maintain our telephony environment, including IP telephony, smartphones, and wireless communication technologies. We assist with the deployment, configuration, and management of devices and software using tools such as SCCM and Jamf Pro. We support printing and copying services, including troubleshooting and consumables management. We ensure network patching and physical infrastructure work is completed to a high standard and in line with best practice. We manage incidents and service requests through the IT Service Management system, keeping users informed throughout the resolution process. We lead and deliver technical projects, liaising with stakeholders, suppliers, and colleagues across the organisation. We provide occasional cover for the IT Service Desk and support colleagues during peak periods. We assist with the relocation and installation of IT equipment across our college sites.
