Reporting to the Programme Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in the Construction team, responsible for developing and maintaining cost plans and cost estimates for larger projects (typically 1m - 10m), working on complex projects from inception through to completion.
You'll be joining an innovative team, encouraged to think outside the box and trusted to deliver complex projects, utilising your surveying and problem-solving skills. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for developing and managing cost plans to ensure the financial efficiency and feasibility of construction projects.
Preparing detailed budgets and cost estimates at various project stages, from initial concept to final construction, including internal costs.
Controlling project costs and preventing overruns by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Conducting accurate measurements, rate analysis, and risk assessments.
Collaborating with project stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget and provide optimal value.
Administering contracts for design and construction contracts as they are awarded, including change management.

Involved in projects from inception to completion, you will work alongside multiple stakeholders. Previous experience in a cost engineering, contract management or commercial role within the construction or infrastructure sectors working on projects typically over 5 million
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering, construction, or business-related field
Full working knowledge and understanding of using web-based contract management tools (e.g. Thorough understanding of NEC suite of contracts, and associated contract administration and negotiations
