MSK Physiotherapy Services at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a full-time, dynamic, and experienced therapist to join our team as Clinical Lead in Hand and Wrist Therapy.
The post-holder will contribute to managing a team of outpatient physiotherapy staff and play a key role in shaping outpatient hand and wrist therapy services, in line with the latest guidelines. They will also provide support and training to the wider physiotherapy team.
We seek an individual who is proactive, well-organized, and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. CHFT will support training and development as required for this post.
NHS experience and experience of splinting are essential for this role.

Key responsibilities include acting as the Clinical Lead for the Hand and Wrist Therapy Outpatient service, which includes trauma and elective surgical patients, and advancing clinical practice in this area.

Specific duties include performing highly specialist assessment and treatment of hand and wrist patients, developing and evaluating treatment programs, managing a highly specialist caseload, establishing relationships with other stakeholders, and educating and training staff and medical personnel.
Autonomous work within trust policies and maintaining accurate records are required. The post also involves assisting the Team Leader with the daily management of the outpatient physiotherapy team.
Previous NHS physiotherapy experience, either undergraduate or postgraduate, is essential.
