Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Kitchen Team Members to join our small but close, dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to food preparation and production while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. Shifts available are 12-8pm Thursday, Friday, Sunday. More hours are available to cover holidays etc.
Duties
* Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards.
* Support the team in managing kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation.
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area, following all food safety regulations.
* Participate in food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and plating dishes.
* Supervise junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance and support during service.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery.
* Help with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and storing food items properly.
Skills
* Strong culinary skills with a passion for cooking and food preparation.
* Experience in a restaurant or similar kitchen environment is advantageous. Marston's Menu knowledge advantageous.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required. Solo working is required.
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
* Capability to supervise others and manage tasks efficiently under pressure.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy kitchen setting.
