We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join a growing finance team in Blackburn. This is a full-time, office-based role, ideal for someone with previous accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a structured and fast-paced environment.
Job Description
Key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Clerk will be:
3. Processing supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
4. Matching, batching and coding invoices
5. Managing supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
6. Preparing and processing payment runs
7. Reconciling supplier statements
8. Maintaining accurate financial records and filing
9. Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will have:
10. Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role
11. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
12. Good organisational and time management skills
13. Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
14. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
15. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
