LME Recruitment Limited is partnering with a leading logistics company to find an experienced Freight Forwarder for their Felixstowe office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at the heart of the UK logistics sector.
Please note: Only candidates who can commute daily to Felixstowe will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate import/export shipments (road, sea, air) from booking to delivery
* Prepare and process shipping documentation, customs entries, and compliance paperwork
* Liaise with shipping lines, hauliers, and customers to ensure smooth movement of goods
* Track and report on shipment status, proactively resolving any delays or issues
* Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to clients
* Support the team with data analysis, reporting KPIs, and identifying efficiency improvements
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar logistics role
* Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and customs regulations
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Confident with numbers – able to analyse shipment and cost data, prepare reports, and spot trends
* IT literate (MS Office, freight management systems)
* Must be based within daily commuting distance of Felixstowe –
remote or overseas applicants will not be considered
