Role Overview
As a Royal Mail Postal Delivery Worker, you’ll play a vital role in keeping communities connected. Your day will start at the delivery office, where you’ll:
* Load your vehicle with letters and parcels
* Drive to your designated delivery area
* Complete deliveries on foot, following an efficient route provided via handheld device
* Track deliveries, capture signatures, and provide excellent customer service
This is a physically active delivery role, ideal for those who enjoy being on the move and working independently.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking reliable and motivated postal workers with:
* A full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points)
* Confidence driving a small van
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Physical fitness: able to lift up to 16kg and walk up to 20,000 steps per day
* Resilience to work in all weather conditions
* Self-motivation and the ability to work independently
* Flexibility to adapt to changing delivery routes
