Anexciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an enthusiasticand motivated person to join The Yorkshire Clinic as the In-PatientTeam Lead for the in-patient physiotherapyservices.
You would be joining the team at a timeof development in how we deliver our in-patientservices.
The Yorkshire Clinic has a visionto grow acuity and bring in new services. You will have theopportunity to work alongside our clinical leads and consultants toshape the future of In-patient Physiotherapyservices.
We are looking foran individual who is highly motivated and flexible in theirapproach, and who is able to demonstrate excellent clinicalleadership in the assessment and management of elective surgicalpatients.
Person-centred careand an approach which promotes enhanced recovery are at the centreof ourphilosophy.
Mainduties of the job
* Providesupportive and inspirational leadership to the in-patientphysiotherapy team
* Develop and maintainexcellent relationships with patients, consultants and other keystakeholders
* Participate in delivery of carebeing a role model to ensure highest standards of practice aremaintained
* Manage the governance agendaensuring policy compliance, audit & action planning, acontinuous cycle of improvement
* Drive thegrowth and development of the in-patientservices.
* Be an integral part of the HospitalLeadership Team participating in strategy development and drivingplans for achievement and success
* Beresponsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluatingclinical case work within in-patientservices.
* Provide a key role in partnershipworking with patients, carers, the MDT, and wider statutoryservices.
* Take responsibility for staff andstudent training and development.
* Continuallyreview patient outcomes and pathways to drive innovation and safepractice.
Personspecification
* Recentexperience of leadership /management role
* Wardexperience is essential.
* Recent, comprehensiveand relevant experience working in a senior physiotherapyrole.
* Experience of multidisciplinary guidelinedevelopment, implementation andaudit
* Specialist level of knowledge andclinical reasoning skills to support expert clinical practice in awide range of specialities i.e. respiratory.
* Anunderstanding of Clinical Governance, the CSP’s Quality AssuranceStandards and the HCPC Standards of Conduct, Performance andEthics
* Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
* Experience in leadingteams in driving quality outcomes.
* Ability toreview outcome data and drive changes forimprovement.
* The ability to plan, organise,prioritise and delegate.
* Acommitment to support individuals and assist as necessary withactivities of daily living including personal care/therapy, social,emotional, and recreational needs andaspirations.
* The abilityto make decisions and use yourinitiative.
Qualifications:
* HCPCregistered
* Degree or equivalentpre-registration award in physiotherapy
* Recentpost graduate courses inLeadership/management
Desirablecriteria
* Member of theChartered Society of Physiotherapy
* Certificatein Managing Health Services or equivalent
* MScor PhD in a relevant subject
* Post-graduateDiploma in Advanced Practice
* Acute experience-Respiratory, Rehab, Neuro,MSK.
