Food Service Assistant (Part-time). Permanent, part-time 20 hours per week. Salary £14,306 per year (£13.69 per hour). Location Cambridge, CB2 1DQ. Posting date 04 September 2025. Closing date 25 September 2025. Company: Vacancy Filler.
Responsibilities
Join the Catering Front-of-House team who prepare and serve a range of high-quality food, including fine dining, to the College community and commercial guests. You will receive full training and have the opportunity to learn and develop skills from the rest of the team. The hours include a mix of shifts, usually between 7:00 am and 9:30 pm and including weekends; this is subject to change based on business needs. Holidays during the Christmas closure may be required.
Qualifications
* Experience of Front of House in the hotel industry or hospitality in a customer-facing role
* Ability to work with and cover for other staff
* Excellent customer service skills
* Clear communication skills
* A Certificate in Food Hygiene and a good understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation are desirable
