With a strong pipeline of work and a supportive senior team, this is a great opportunity for a Graduate Planner looking to kick‑start their career in a commercially focused consultancy environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Planning Consultant, you’ll support senior planners in delivering practical planning advice across both pre‑application and post‑application stages.
You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects while developing your technical and commercial understanding of the planning process.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting delivery of planning advice to clients
* Assisting with pre‑application appraisals and planning strategies
* Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation
* Contributing to a variety of projects across multiple sectors
* Undertaking research, policy analysis and report writing
* Supporting planning applications and condition discharge submissions
* Assisting with project coordination and administrative tasks
* Attending site visits and supporting appraisal work
* Communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Attending CPD events and continuing professional development
What We’re Looking For
* RTPI accredited undergraduate or postgraduate qualification
* 1–2 years’ experience in a consultancy or local authority (ideal but not essential)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Interest in a variety of development sectors
* Keen to learn, develop and build a long‑term career in planning
