Fantastic opportunity has arisen to join BEAR Scotland’s North West Electrical team as an Electrician based in Perth, Inverness, or Kingussie (full time).
The North West Trunk Road Unit covers approximately 1,422 km of trunk road through some of the most scenic parts of Scotland. It includes 1,501 bridges and structures, such as the Kessock Bridge (carrying the A9 north of Inverness) and the A87 Skye Crossing.
The area spans from Thurso and Wick in the Highlands to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, and from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling in the central belt.
Role includes:
* Conducting regular inspections and electrical maintenance on North West Trunk Road facilities.
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults efficiently to minimise disruptions to road users.
* Implementing electrical system upgrades and enhancements for projects.
* Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
* Adhering to safety standards and regulations to protect the public and team members.
* Providing technical expertise and recommendations for improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Full approval as an Electrician, with relevant certifications and licenses.
* Experience in electrical maintenance and repair (minimum 4 years).
* Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and practices.
* Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
* Willingness to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
* UK driving license.
