Salary: £24,719 per annum, salary pro rata from £30,899 per annum
Location: Remote working but a requirement to work from Holland Court - Norwich NR1 4DY
Requirements: A driver's licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance essential for this role.
Our Low‑Cost Counselling Service (LCC) provides accessible, high‑quality counselling to individuals across Norfolk and Waveney. Delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers and trainee counsellors, the service supports people experiencing mild to moderate mental health distress, as well as those wishing to explore personal challenges in a safe, supportive space.
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Counsellor to play a key role in the clinical and operational leadership of our Low‑Cost Counselling Service.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support the development of trainee counsellors while contributing to a valued community service that makes a meaningful difference across Norfolk and Waveney.
You will provide line management and clinical oversight to trainee counsellors, ensuring safe, ethical, and professional practice in line with NICE guidelines and organisational standards.
You will also play an important role in managing referrals, undertaking initial assessments, contributing to service development, deputising for the Service Manager when required and holding a small caseload of clients.
