The role includes, but is not limited to:Assessment of, and clinical management planning for adult inpatients referred for parenteral nutritionOngoing assessment and monitoring for inpatients receiving parenteral nutritionMonitoring the management of central venous catheters (CVC) used for parenteral nutritionBeing a source of knowledge to advise on CVC choice, CVC management for patient cohortincluding trouble-shooting CVC issuesJoint outpatient follow-up clinics with other members of the NST MDTLiaising with primary care, secondary care and tertiary intestinal failure centres regardingthe management of mutual patientsAssessments of outpatients over the phone that may need fluid and electrolyte replacement, organising blood tests and planning IV fluids/electrolytes in day units.With a team of over 9,000 employees, we're proud to be the largest employer in Gloucestershire and rank among the top 10 largest Trusts in the South West.
