The Role:
We are looking for a Fire Door Joiner to join our team at RiskFire and play a key role in the installation, maintenance, and remedial works of fire doors to ensure buildings meet current fire safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled joiner with experience in fire door fitting, repairs, and compliance to contribute directly to life safety and regulatory assurance. You'll be working as part of a supportive, professional team that is committed to delivering high-quality fire safety solutions across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install fire doors and frames in accordance with industry regulations.
* Carry out fire door maintenance and remedial works to ensure compliance with fire safety standards.
* Assess and record findings from fire door inspections and remedial works.
* Ensure all work meets FIRAS and BM TRADA requirements.
* Maintain accurate records using the company's digital reporting system.
* Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and best practices on all projects.
* Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.
* Liaise with site managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth project completion.
* Travel nationwide as required, with occasional overnight stays (expenses covered).
What We're Looking For:
Essential Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in fire door installation and maintenance.
* Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Ability to use digital reporting systems for tracking and compliance.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
Desirable Requirements:
* CSCS card.
* IFC, FIRAS, or BM TRADA accreditation.
* Asbestos Awareness and First Aid certification.
* Willingness to undergo a DBS check if required.
