Role
We are looking for a new Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our friendly, dynamic, and forward‑thinking team based at Scarborough Hospital. This is a 10 PA post over five days. Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality patient care within gastroenterology, including endoscopy, ED interface, and acute care services.
* Provide specialist input to the Gastroenterology MDT and collaborate closely with allied departments.
* Occasionally cover General Internal Medicine in a limited, voluntary capacity.
* Participate in service development, quality improvement projects and academic activities as appropriate.
Qualifications
* Higher medical qualification (MRCP or equivalent) and be on the GMC Specialist Register for G(I)M and Gastroenterology, or be within 6 months of obtaining the CCT at the time of the interview.
* Clinical skills and expertise of a high standard covering gastroenterology, with familiarity of service organisation and development advantageous.
