Equans is recruiting for a Multi site Caretaker to join the team in Cannock Community Fire Station, Cannock, WS11 6LD. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is salary of £26,.80 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Times:

Monday - Friday - 7:30am - 16:00pm

Overview:

Primarily covering Cannock, Uttoxeter, Rising Brook (Stafford) within a portfolio of ten sites within Staffordshire working in partnership with Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service and providing emergency event Out-of-Hours cover as part of an On-Call rota.

The main duties and responsibilities are:

Carry out first line investigations into building faults and isolate / make safe where necessary and arrange referral to engineer or specialist Service Partner through the contract management or dedicated Helpdesk.
Carry out minor building maintenance works; including fabric, grounds, electrical, plumbing, and some cleaning activities.
Carry out both statutory and contractual Preventative Planned Maintenance tasks; including Water Hygiene, Fire Safety and Emergency Lighting.
Accompany EQUANS Service Partners on site, issuing approved Permits and being the main point of contact.
Provide Out-of-Hours emergency event cover as part of a rolling On-Call rota, covering all ten sites within Staffordshire. (Frequency subject to change depending on business requirements).
Be responsible for ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH laws and regulations to make certain that all EQUANS company Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
Snow clearance and gritting in the winter months, providing support to other sites within the portfolio where required.
To provide Meet & Greet service to external Community Groups who utilize the Community Facilities within the Fire Station, to always ensure their safety. This will include the set up and tidy away of any required furniture.
Reporting building misuse or damage to the Mobile Operations Supervisor in a timely manner
Be used to working under pressure, problem solve and to use their initiative when necessary

For this role you must undergo an enhanced DBS clearance therefore ability to pass is essential.

Who are we looking for?

Experience within the FM industry.
Good Timekeeping and attendance record.
Physically fit to carry out general duties.
An outgoing personality with strong customer service focus.
Proven experience of delivering a high-quality service with an eye for detail, and the ability to communicate those expectations to the rest of the team to achieve the same high standards.
Experience of completing Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
A Full UK driving license is essential.
