Wheatley Homes East has a great opportunity for an experienced and caring professional to join the team as a Retirement Housing Manager.
Work pattern
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Role Overview
Our Retirement Housing Managers are responsible for the safety and security of our retirement complexes. They work closely with Housing Officers and our Customer First Centre to promote the safety and wellbeing of our tenants. Additionally, they assist customers in using technology and accessing online services.
We’re looking for people who:
1. are able to work on their own initiative;
2. can respond to crisis situations calmly and practically;
3. are enthusiastic and caring;
4. are passionate about delivering excellent customer service; and
5. can work collaboratively with customers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
Applicants should have:
1. at least two years’ experience managing a retirement or similar scheme;
2. a qualification in Housing at SVQ2 level or equivalent, or willingness to work towards it;
3. excellent interpersonal skills;
4. knowledge of older people’s services;
5. awareness and commitment to the ethos of retirement housing;
6. elementary food hygiene certificate;
7. previous experience managing staff;
8. basic IT skills; and
9. demonstrated ability to manage a challenging workload.
