Role: Supervising Social Worker - ASYE Applications Welcome
12 Month Fixed Term Contract - 4 Days Per Week
Salary: Up to £33,673 (£26,938 Pro Rata) Per Annum Dependent Upon Experience

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Newly Qualified Social Worker to join our friendly team to develop and promote fostering services in the South West.

About The Role
Our South West team seeks to recruit a Supervising Social Worker/ASYE to support our Foster Parents and Young People within Somerset.
* Support foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
* Support and monitor the ongoing suitability and competence of Foster parents, ensuring a safe, healthy, nurturing, and learning environment.
* Ensure carers understand the fostering task, competencies, standards, and procedures including complaints and representation policies.
* Provide and record regular supervision to foster parents in line with FCA standards.
* Work in partnership with the team to identify needs within foster families, contribute to meetings, and perform other related tasks.
* Ensure compliance with all key documentation for each child and foster parent.
* Attend meetings or provide reports for Commissioning Teams regarding individual packages of care.
* Promote participation of children/young people in agency development and community access.
* Participate in 'out of hours' support on a rota basis.
* Undertake occasional home visits and Form F Assessments.
You Must Have
* A Social Work qualification
* Registration with Social Work England or equivalent
* Proven report writing skills
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding procedures
* Willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays
* Confidence in transporting children/young people in stressful situations
* Full driving license
