They offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, modern offices, and genuine opportunities for professional growth and development.The Role: Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will take ownership of the financial reporting processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards and deadlines. You will play a key role in supporting month-end and year-end close, statutory accounts preparation, and liaising with auditors.Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.
* Lead year-end statutory accounts preparation and liaise with external auditors.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS) and internal policies.
* Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and control accounts.
* Support process improvements and financial system enhancements.
* Provide financial insights and ad-hoc reports to support strategic decisions.
Candidate Profile:
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or finalist with strong experience).
* Experience in financial or management accounting roles.
* Strong technical understanding of UK GAAP / IFRS.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle).
* Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Experience in a manufacturing or project-based environment is desirable, but not essential.
