Clinical Psychologist - SEN School Setting

£35,000 - £55,000 per annum (pro rata, dependent on experience)
Are you a compassionate, experienced Clinical Psychologist looking to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs?
We are currently working in partnership with an inclusive and well-resourced SEN school which caters for pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. The school is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide vital support to pupils, staff, and families, with a strong emphasis on early intervention, emotional regulation, and tailored therapeutic input.
Role Summary:
You will play a central role within the school's multi-disciplinary team, providing psychological assessments, direct and indirect interventions, consultation, and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and formulate intervention plans
Deliver direct therapeutic work with pupils (1:1 and group)
Provide consultation and training to teaching/support staff
Contribute to EHCP reviews and multidisciplinary planning
Work closely with families to support pupil wellbeing and outcomes
Help shape whole-school approaches to mental health and wellbeingThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised qualification)
HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist
Experience working with children/young people, ideally within an SEN or school setting
Strong understanding of neurodiversity, developmental trauma, and mental health presentations
Excellent communication, report writing, and teamworking skills
