Your New Role: Trainee Planner

Location: Glasgow (Polmadie, onsite). Full‑time role that requires travel to Polmadie.
The M8 account works with Scottish Roads to maintain and upgrade motorway and trunk roads in central Scotland.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the development, review, and updating of plans to ensure compliance with safety regulations and organisational policies.
* Collaborate with internal teams to gather information on planned engineering and construction activities.
* Support the submission of planning requests to route planning teams, including those associated with access requests.
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date planning records and documentation.
* Assist with the preparation of detailed planning documentation, including procedures and safety precautions.
* Communicate plans clearly with on‑site teams to ensure understanding and compliance.
* Keep up to date with industry best practice and emerging trends related to planning processes.
Qualifications
* A conscientious and confident approach with a polite, helpful attitude.
* Previous administration experience, including the use of Microsoft Office packages.
* Experience supporting a wider team or business function.
