Shipping & Credit Control Manager
Job Purpose
To coordinate shipments ensuring timely arrival of goods to meet customer delivery dates and efficient shipment methods. Provide key information in respect of sales forecasts and order arrears.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling Shipments
* Communicating with overseas suppliers to ensure goods are shipped to the factory Purchase Order date.
* Ensuring any variation from P/O dates are negotiated with overseas suppliers & where this will affect customer order delivery dates, discuss and agree course of action with UK Merchandise team.
* Liaising with overseas suppliers to obtain all necessary documentation & ensure all information is provided to relevant parties in required timelines.
* Ensuring efficient loadings of containers. Negotiating where required to meeting company requirements.
* Preparation of Shipping invoices for FOB supplies.
* Collection and collation of key information in relation to handover of FOB supplies.
* Working closely with Credit Control Manager in relation to information on monthly FOB sales.
* Obtaining and negotiating airfreight quotes when required. Providing key information for authorisation of airfreight.
* Downloading P/O data from ABMS and ensuring that all factory shipments are updated on WLG IT systems.
* Liaise with customers for FCR’s and reconciliation to a monthly day book.
Supplier & Freight Forwarder Payments
* Maintaining supplier payment records
* Checking and preparing payments to suppliers and freight forwarders.
* Ensuring factories authorise new supplier forms, prior to any payments being made.
* Communications with suppliers on factory payments.
* Issue, chase & record Supplier Manual agreements for all new suppliers.
Sales Forecasting
* Prepare & monitor monthly sales forecast information.
* Provide information for management and provide updates during the month.
* Variance analysis of actual, forecast & budget sales results.
* Liaison with merchandisers & despatch team to obtain updated customer delivery dates.
* Producing monthly FOB sales orders schedule.
* Regular updating of Sales Forecasting schedule to ensure control of movements on customer delivery dates is completed on time in full.
* Ongoing analysis & monitoring of sales order arrears.
Qualifications & Experience
* 5 GCSE inc. Math’s & English at level C or above, or equivalent.

Hours of work: Monday to Thursday: 8.00am to 4.30pm, and Friday 8.00am to 3.30pm
