Job Description
Your role will involve writing, reviewing, and editing a range of internal and external documents, including product descriptions, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and business and legal materials. These documents will be used internally for training, form part of our Public Sector tender submissions, and be utilized in marketing materials such as catalogues and web copy.
You will collaborate with product, production, client, and marketing colleagues to create user-friendly documentation and ensure timely delivery. You will develop standards and guidelines to align all technical documentation with VIP-System Ltd's branding and support the management of a document library. Additionally, you will create and manage a documentation review process that captures feedback, product changes, and new features, ensuring documentation remains fit for purpose.
Essential Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Ability to translate concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation
* Confidence in collaborating with colleagues, management, and clients
* On-site working – this is an office-based role in a collaborative environment. You must be willing and able to commute to Clydebank.
It’s a bonus if you have skills or experience in:
* Creating visual content to enhance documentation
* Writing supporting copy for GUI, API, and CLI as needed
* Maintaining content libraries and template repositories
* Marketing and product catalogues
* Team or project management
* Knowledge of UI, GUI, website content
* Implementing documentation review processes to ensure content is up-to-date
* Legal experience (e.g., academic or police)
* Licensing (e.g., Ex licensing officer)
* Knowledge of B2G sales/services
* Digital print experience
