Pinnacle Group is seeking an experienced Caretaker to maintain our buildings and facilities, ensuring they are secure, functional, and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
You will join our Facilities Management team at schools in Exeter. Responsibilities include routine maintenance, repairs, security, and cleanliness. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in problem-solving. The working hours are Monday to Friday, on a rolling rota with two shift options: 6AM-2PM or 10AM-6PM.

Key responsibilities
* Ensure the security of school buildings and grounds through locking/unlocking, patrols, and monitoring.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance as per each school's schedule and your skills.
* Assist service providers with access, escorting, and liaising for remedial or maintenance work.
* Carry out minor repairs and decoration works.
* Respond to emergencies such as floods or bodily fluids, executing rectification procedures promptly.
* Check BMS, boilers, hot water systems, pest inspections, drains, and plant rooms.
* Perform daily duties including litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, and toilet cleaning.
Key Requirements
* General handyman skills, including DIY, minor plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work.
* A friendly and approachable personality.
* Ability to liaise with external service providers.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
